Education: Bachelor of Arts in English – The University of Texas at Austin
Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling – Dallas Theological Seminary
About Me: I was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas. Yes, I’m named after my hometown! I moved to Austin to attend the University of Texas for my Bachelor’s degree in English. I absolutely loved living in Austin and love to get back there whenever I can to cheer on my Longhorns. I moved to Houston for a short career in education. Then, I began working for Young Life here in Houston, where I spent five years doing full time ministry, while attending Dallas Theological Seminary to obtain my masters degree in Biblical Counseling. I’ve served as a counselor in a private practice for the last two years and am so excited about my role as the Wellness Counselor at Memorial High School!
What I Do For Fun: I’m a big fan of country music, crime shows, and books of all kinds. My favorite job in this world, aside from being a counselor, is being Aunt CC to my niece and nephews.
Fun Fact: I competed in the 1997 AAU Junior Olympics in Charlotte, North Carolina in competitive jump rope.
I'm passionate about: mental health! I want every student at MHS to know that they matter, and that we care about their mental health and wellbeing. We’re here for whatever you need us for! My hope is for every student we meet with to feel heard, seen, and known.

Education:  Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management – Texas A&M University
Master of Arts in Professional Counseling – Liberty University
About Me:  I was born and raised in San Antonio and then moved to College Station to go to Texas A&M University. Whoop! After college, I taught for several years as a math and sped teacher. I got my master’s in professional counseling and worked in a private practice for the last two years. I am overjoyed to now work with Christi in the Wellness Center at Memorial High School!
What I do for fun: I love to get outside, get creative, read, and spend time with my precious niece and nephews!
Fun Fact: I was on the dance team in high school. I wish I could still high kick to my face!
I’m passionate about: Making sure everyone, especially adolescents, know they are valued, important, and loved! I am so excited to get to do that at MHS in the Wellness Center!

***We want every MHS student to feel comfortable about coming to talk to us.***
Conversations with a wellness counselor are completely confidential -- unless a counselor feels the student or someone else is in danger. If we suspect a student is harming his or herself or another student, we will intervene. Keeping students safe and healthy -- in mind and body -- is our #1 priority.
